Privacy policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy explains what data is collected when you visit projecthailmary.net, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Data controller

This site, and any personal data processed through it, is the responsibility of Daniel Ruiz, based in Spain. For anything related to your privacy, email vanraidex@gmail.com.

Data we collect

We do not require registration or directly collect personal data such as your name or email. The simulators run entirely in your browser.

We use third-party services that may collect technical data (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited) through cookies or similar technologies, as described below.

Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web server, it logs technical details of each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you. See the Vercel privacy policy for details.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center or at aboutads.info. Learn more: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you don't give consent, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which are based on the context of the page (for example, the topic you're reading) rather than your browsing history. These ads may use limited cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (most visited pages, country, device). You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links (Amazon)

Links to buy the book are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set its own cookies when you click.

Emails you send us

If you write to the contact address, we receive your email address and the content of your message. They are only used to reply, are never shared, and are deleted once your query is resolved, unless they need to be kept to handle a claim.

Consent

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent to advertising cookies through a notice managed by Google. You can change your choice at any time from that notice.

You can also reopen that notice with the "Manage cookies" button in the footer. Each cookie is listed in the cookie policy.

Legal basis

  • Personalized advertising and analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Server logs, non-personalized ads and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Replying to your emails: your own request when you write to us (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Recipients and international transfers

Technical data may be received by Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC (advertising and analytics), Vercel Inc. (hosting) and Amazon (only if you click an affiliate link). We don't sell or share data with anyone else.

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which they are certified, and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Retention

Cookies are kept for the periods listed in the cookie policy. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Emails are deleted once the query is resolved.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, and object to its processing. Since we do not store personal data on our own servers, most of these requests are handled directly with Google through the links above.

For any other request, email vanraidex@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the authority in your country.

Children

The site is suitable for all ages, but it isn't aimed specifically at children under 14 and doesn't knowingly collect their data. In Spain, children under 14 need a parent or guardian's consent to accept advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its update date.
